Why Forsyth

(Known by locals as FOCO.) Forsyth County is situated in the scenic foothills of the north Georgia mountains, among 200-plus miles of largely unspoiled Lake Lanier shoreline. The county boasts endless recreation opportunities like biking the miles of trails on the Big Creek Greenway, hiking Sawnee Mountain and visiting the abundance of parks and playgrounds. We also love Forsyth because of the top notch school system, the Southern hospitality and the variety of local businesses. It’s also situated just off 400 so it’s easy to head south into the city or north to tube the river or visit the wineries in the North Georgia mountains.

Forsyth County has held top rankings among the fastest-growing counties in Georgia and the US. The community has a small town feel with beautiful sunsets surrounded by farmland, yet so many conveniences are minutes away. From outdoor shopping centers like Halcyon, Vickery Village and Cumming City Center to local dining and coffee spots and family-friendly attractions, Forsyth has so much to offer!
